Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and Omaze are Celebrating National Epilepsy Awareness Month in November
Part of the Leon Pediatric Neuroscience Center of Excellence, the epilepsy program at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children is designated as a Level 4 Epilepsy Center. This designation - by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers (NAEC) means that patients in need of the highest level of specialized care can count on Orlando Health for the most advanced technology and solutions available to care for all conditions on the epilepsy spectrum.

Spirit Halloween: Making a difference for local kids
At the heart of Spirit Halloween is Spirit of Children, a program which provides fun and funding to its partner hospitals during the Halloween season. Since 2007, Central Florida Spirit Halloween stores have supported Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and have raised more than one million dollars to help make hospital stays less scary for kids and their families.

Brain Aneurysm Virtual 5k
In honor of Brain Aneurysm Awareness month in September, Orlando Health patient Conor and his family held a virtual 5K event. In February of 2020, Conor suffered two brain aneurysms and a brain bleed, and had to have an emergency craniotomy at the Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC) where he would remain to recover for 6-8 weeks.

Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation Provides Grant to Support Central Florida Residents Living with Paralysis
As Central Florida’s only Level One Trauma Center, Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC) sees an average of 79 patients per year that have been diagnosed with a spinal cord injury or disorder (SCI/D). Our team helps individuals with SCI/D progress through the rehabilitation program, from acute care through inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation settings. The Orlando Health ORMC Institute for Advanced Rehabilitation is the go-to program to care for these individuals, offering them education, wellness and support throughout their lives.
