Dan and Cara Whitney were beyond excited for the birth of their first child, Wyatt. They never expected the challenges they would face when Wyatt was diagnosed with hip dysplasia after being born in a breech position. At the time of his birth, the Whitneys knew nothing about the effects of hip dysplasia in babies and, like most, believed it only occurred in dogs.
On October 20, 2021, The Howard Phillips Center for Children & Families, a part of Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, welcomed guests to step behind the scenes for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began. TV and radio show host Ryan Seacrest, accompanied by his parents, Gary and Connie (pictured below), visited Seacrest Studios at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in May. This was their first in-person visit to our studio since it opened in December 2020 — they could only join virtually for the grand opening due to COVID-19 restrictions.
This past April, JoAnn Nestor, along with fellow members of the Bayfront Health Philanthropy Council hosted more than 60 female business and community leaders in St. Petersburg, Florida and the surrounding Pinellas County to introduce them to the mission of Bayfront Health. The evening’s discussion centered around the progress and growth of Bayfront Health since its purchase in 2020. Hospital leaders also shared plans for future growth of Bayfront Health, including several advanced programs and institutes. Philanthropic support plays a key role in these advancements by funding our facilities with cutting-edge technology, allowing team members to serve our community with the highest level of care available.
