In partnership with Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals, Jack and Barbara Nicklaus, along with support from the PGA TOUR and many of its partners, have been encouraging the golf community to fill the funding gap in pediatric healthcare through the Play Yellow campaign. Understanding the importance of providing high-quality care to kids in the community, Marriott, the longest-standing partner of CMN Hospitals, joined forces to support the Play Yellow initiative.

The Marriott Central Florida Business Council hosted their inaugural Play Yellow Golf Tournament at the beautiful Hawk’s Landing Golf Club, located at the Orlando World Center Marriott. The tournament quickly sold out and included a full field of 136 players and 16 sponsors that enjoyed an extraordinary day on the course, all while raising $75,000 to help change kids’ health.

Miracle Network Dance Marathon Helps Change Kids’ Health

Miracle Network Dance Marathon events were back in full swing this year after two years of virtual and hybrid events. Fifteen educational institutions across Central Florida are part of the Dance Marathon movement including the University of Central Florida, Stetson University, Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and twelve public and private K-12 schools.

After a year of hard work hosting fun events and programming, students were thrilled to be back in person with their peers and more determined than ever to change kids’ health through their efforts. The supporting schools rallied more than 3,100 students to be a part of the Dance Marathon movement with the purpose of fundraising and advocating for pediatric healthcare. Together with the support of the participants, donors, and corporate partners affiliated with each of these schools nearly $900,000 was raised for Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children.

These young leaders are making an incredible impact in our community that will be felt for years to come.
