Founded in 2006, the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation holds a mission to provide the simple joys of childhood to kids battling hunger or illness. Through the Foundation, local Dunkin’ restaurants are proud supporters of the kids and families treated at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children.
Sweet, smart Aiden Ace was born on Christmas Day 2015, making him an angel in the eyes of his parents and extended family members. Aiden is a gifted child who is always eager to learn new things and loves soccer and fishing. But, at only five years old, Aiden was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
Earlier this spring, we were blown away by the incredible show of support from businesses like Panda Express who stepped up to support Orlando Health and our team members as we began facing this global pandemic together. Since then, our team members have worked tirelessly, and with the recent spikes in COVID-19 cases in Central Florida and beyond, Panda Express stepped up once again looking to boost the energy and morale of our healthcare heroes.
On December 2, 2021 we officially celebrate and reflect on all the fun, magic and wonder our new Seacrest Studios has brought to patients at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children over the past year. As we celebrate one year of this incredible child life initiative at our hospital, we share our deepest gratitude with the Ryan Seacrest Foundation for selecting Orlando Health Arnold Palmer as its Florida studio home. Additionally, we are thankful to our corporate supporters for fully funding the construction and program.

Dan and Cara Whitney were beyond excited for the birth of their first child, Wyatt. They never expected the challenges they would face when Wyatt was diagnosed with hip dysplasia after being born in a breech position. At the time of his birth, the Whitneys knew nothing about the effects of hip dysplasia in babies and, like most, believed it only occurred in dogs.
Growing up in Michigan, siblings Jen Bies Duffy and Deucie Bies watched as their parents built their family business, all while raising two kids and living lives filled with generosity, love and passion. In the late 1970s, James and Lorraine Bies opened their first auto repair shop. Over the next 20 years, they grew their business into a franchise containing over 40 stores in surrounding states. While their relentless efforts to grow their family business was met with success, it is their actions of always striving to help others they will be most remembered for.
We strive to practice medicine at the forefront of research and technology, training future generations of physicians on novel therapies. Dr. Papa’s research and the development of this test are examples of that in action. For an adult patient who may have a concussion or TBI, we can use this test at the bedside, limiting radiation exposure as much as possible.
Born and raised in Orlando, Sallie Layton Douglas found fulfillment through helping others. Giving back was a way of life, later influencing her career in healthcare and involvement with the community. Although Sallie has passed away, her memory and the charitable contributions she left behind continue to impact the Central Florida area.
