Grant Helps to Connect Patients with Employment Opportunities Through CareerSource Florida
A recent grant of $30,000 from CareerSource Florida supports Orlando Health’s Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) Navigator who will assist OUD individuals with job and career placement opportunities post-treatment.
Currently, our Patient Navigator in the Emergency Department at Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC) does their best to connect patients to community resources and employment opportunities. Now, through this new partnership with CareerSource Florida, our OUD Navigator will be able to directly connect these patients to employment resources in Central Florida.
This enhancement to our OUD Patient Navigator Program will help those well into their recovery journey get connected to CareerSource Florida and its training resources.
This partnership gives individuals opportunities for enhanced employment options while also providing them with additional motivation.
