The United Way has presented The Howard Phillips Center for Children & Families three multi-year grants for the following programs:

Teen Xpress – In the last year of a three-year grant for approximately $64,000 annually
The grant has enabled Teen Xpress to provide services at Jones High School, rated as the 7th high-need school in the community. As a result, Teen Xpress is now providing multi-disciplinary healthcare services to youth at 33 percent of the Title One schools in Orange County.

The Healing Tree – In the last year of a three-year grant for approximately $70,000 annually
The grant allows the team to provide weekly therapy appointments by licensed therapists for physically abused children and their caregivers in their own homes, which is a great help to those who have a limited means of transportation.

Healthy Families Osceola – In the first year of a three-year grant of approximately $75,000 annually
Healthy Families Osceola expanded services to two additional zip codes, enabling the program to provide child abuse prevention services to 60 percent of Osceola County’s children and families. Because of the grant, the team has been able to screen 290 new families.
