Rooted in Service and Support: The Silver Spurs
A special thanks to the Silver Spurs for choosing The Howard Phillips Center for Children and Families, part of Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, as one of the rodeo’s beneficiaries.
The Silver Spurs Rodeo is a historically prominent event that has been held in Osceola County since 1944. From the beginning, the Silver Spurs have prioritized philanthropy. For over eight decades, the organization has given a percentage of the money raised through the rodeo and other events back to the community.
The Howard Phillips Center for Children and Families has also had a steadfast commitment in the community to meet the needs of vulnerable and at-risk children and families in Osceola County, providing services for over 30 years.
Marie Martinez, director of operations at the center, shared, “Basing our services within the Osceola community demonstrates our strong commitment to support the children and families who live here, and there’s nothing more embedded into the culture of this community than the Silver Spurs Rodeo. This support is meaningful to us and will enable us to continue providing vital local services in Osceola County.”
With values rooted in community service and compassion, the Silver Spurs have been an integral partner for the center. With their generosity, the team can continue to heal hearts, transform lives and provide miracles for children, teens and families in Osceola County for many years to come.
