Spreading Hope, One Scoop at a Time: Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream

Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream hosted its first campaign for Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children from February 1–29, 2024 with incredible excitement and success! Throughout the month, team members at Central Florida scoop shops and counters invited customers to donate to the hospital. In addition, on February 18, Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream donated 50 percent of sales in honor of International Eat Ice Cream for Breakfast Day. Thanks to the efforts of Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream, their generous customers, and a matching gift from Dr. Phillips Charities, $20,000 was raised to support the Haley Center for Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer, helping to fund advanced technology and treatments for cancer patients.

Kelly Seidl, owner of Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream, is a former Orlando Health Arnold Palmer surgical nurse and was inspired to combine her two passions to help local kids. During a visit to the hospital, Kelly and her team met with patients, sharing how they create their ice cream and served delicious samples to patients and team members. We are grateful to Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream for all their efforts to support local children battling cancer.
