Representatives from CVS Health gathered at Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center on Monday, January 17, 2020 to present their $20,000 grant that will fund Opioid Education for Healthcare Providers at our facility. The goal of this project is to educate providers on understanding addiction (specifically, opioid use disorder). 

Bayfront Health St. Petersburg, acquired by Orlando Health in October of 2020, is the city’s first and largest hospital. Under new leadership by Orlando Health, with John Moore at the helm as President, Bayfront Health St. Petersburg has shown significant growth and improvements in less than one year’s time. 

Over the course of two separate evenings, nearly 200 guests gathered on the doorstep of Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children at the Be the Difference fundraising dinner. Guests enjoyed a nostalgic reflection of the incredible ways philanthropy has shaped the present day mission of, Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital and Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies.

On the way to pick up his son from school, Dale called his wife, Kris, to mention he was not feeling well. Not thinking much of it, Kris advised him to go home and take some aspirin. Once home, Dale was still completely restless, so Kris decided to drive him to the hospital. They did not reach the end of their street before Dale collapsed in the passenger seat, suffering a massive heart attack.

Wawa brought holiday cheer to Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children through a new initiative called “Warm Holiday Wishes from Wawa”.  On this day, signature products, seasonal treats, coloring books and coupons from Wawa were shared with patients, guests and team members to celebrate the holiday season. There was also a special appearance from Wally the Goose, Wawa’s mascot.

Matthew and Laura Nicoletti are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and advancing healthcare in our community.

Special guests included Aimee J. Daily Ph.D., President and CEO of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals® (CMN Hospitals), playing in her first Play Yellow golf tournament; and Jim Connelly, President, Marriott U.S. Eastern Region, Full-Service Hotels, among many leaders, business partners and vendors of local Marriott properties across Central Florida.

Annually, on September 9, families worldwide observe Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) Awareness Day. This day serves as a reminder of the critical importance of understanding the risks associated with alcohol consumption during pregnancy and its lifelong impact on a child. FASD is a complex and often preventable condition.

On November 16, the Orlando Health Foundation hosted its signature Evening of Gratitude, a vibrant celebration recognizing the profound impact of philanthropy on the future of healthcare in Central Florida. Donors, supporters and community leaders gathered at the Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld for an unforgettable evening of inspiration, appreciation and community spirit.

Jared and Julie have graciously supported Orlando Health since 2011. They have given to our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies, The Howard Phillips Center for Children and Families, a part of Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, our adult hospitals, and are members of our Champions Circle. Jared also serves on our Orlando Health Children’s Foundation Board. The Wolovnicks have been an integral piece of our success over the past decade.
