It’s October, and you know what that means; cherry…vanilla…yumminess. Flavored with select ingredients including cherry chips, dried cherries, honey, vanilla, and brown sugar, the Cherry Vanilla Bagel is a seasonal staple made especially for autumn and at participating Panera cafes, its shape shifts into a ribbon in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Though you may be familiar with Pink Ribbon Bagels, you may not know how each year they help to benefit the breast cancer cause. For over 15 years, Panera Bread has been fighting breast cancer alongside Orlando Health.

The signature Pink Ribbon Bagels are being sold at all of Panera Bread’s bakery-cafes in Central Florida, with a portion of the proceeds from each bagel sold to benefit Orlando Health UF Health Cancer Center.

“Panera, the Covelli family and Orlando Health Foundation Board member, Annette and husband, Gavin Ford, have generously supported the cancer center through their Pink Ribbon Bagel campaign since 2004,” said Janet Morrow, Orlando Health Foundation Vice President – Corporate Partnerships. “We are so thankful for their support over the years to help the fight against breast cancer and raise significant funds for the Cancer Center.”

Friday, October 2nd - 100 Percent Donation Day: While a portion of Pink Ribbon Bagel proceeds benefit Orlando Health UF Health Cancer Center throughout the month of October, Central Florida locations offer a 100 percent donation day on October 2, during which the entirety of that day’s sales of Pink Ribbon Bagels is donated to the Cancer Center.

In an effort to build awareness and raise funds for breast cancer research, Panera offers the community the opportunity to pre-order Pink Ribbon Bagels throughout October and the 100 percent day. This option allows Panera to fulfill the demand for Pink Ribbon Bagels while maximizing the amount raised for the breast cancer partner.
