Honoring Kathy Johnson, a Long-time Leader

Dan Johnson surprised his wife, Kathy, with a gift in her name supporting the opening of the new tower at Orlando Regional Medical Center.

As an honor to his wife Kathy, former chairman of the Orlando Health Foundation Board, Dan Johnson, along with Kathy’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Pratt, made a generous gift for the new Tower at ORMC.

For two decades, Kathy has served as an integral member of the Orlando Health family and the Foundation board. Her dedication to our mission — understanding the critical need for philanthropic support — is what inspired Dan to make a gift in her honor. Orlando Health Foundation president, John Bozard, revealed the gift in January at the ORMC tower grand opening event.

“We are so privileged to know Kathy,” John Bozard says. “She is such a genuine and gracious person, who balances kindness and patience with a sense of purpose and determination. Her leadership at the Foundation has been immeasurable.”

Kathy is a dedicated community volunteer. In addition to chairing the Foundation board for five years, she has also served on the Metro board of the YMCA, the board of Orange County Children and Family Services, as well as service as past president of the Junior League of Greater Orlando.
We cannot thank the Johnsons enough for their dedication and support for the mission of Orlando Health.
