Honor a Caregiver at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg

In February of this year, Bayfront Health St. Petersburg became the latest hospital in the Orlando Health system to launch the Honor a Caregiver program. This program gives grateful patients and their families a unique way of recognizing team members by making a charitable gift and writing a note of thanks to their caregivers. As an organization, this gives us an extra chance to celebrate excellence in patient care and recognize the impact of our caregivers.

Since its inception, Orlando Health Foundation West Florida has had the opportunity to celebrate remarkable individuals across the hospital and recognize the impactful, and sometimes life-changing, treatment they provide daily. The relationship between a caregiver and a patient is a special bond that deserves recognition.

“The nurses who took care of Bob while in the Trauma ICU were fantastic. Their care and attention to him were outstanding and compassionate in every way. Having Alzheimer’s, his care was pretty time consuming and strenuous as the anesthetic was wearing off. John, on Neuro 3rd floor, was fantastic. He was so attentive and watched out for Bob as he kept wanting to leave. All the nurses, technicians, the anesthesiologist and the doctor were wonderful. Bayfront Health has become an outstanding, “top-drawer” hospital.”
