It’s that time of year already – time to start planning your Halloween costume. Whether you go scary, cartoony or just plain silly, you can find what you need at Spirit Halloween…and give back to kids in need.
Since 2007, Central Florida Spirit Halloween stores have supported Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and have raised more than one million dollars to help make hospital stays less scary for kids and their families! This has allowed the hospital to provide many items to enhance the health care experience for our community.
Funding provided to Child Life services can enable hospitals like Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children to purchase items such as:
· Distraction toys
· Mobile sensory equipment
· Medical teaching dolls
· Arts & crafts supplies
· Electronic and educational items
· Memory making legacy items
Funding may also support art, music and pet therapy programs which can be essential to supporting a child’s development while in the hospital setting.
About Spirit of Children
At the heart of Spirit Halloween is Spirit of Children. Spirit of Children brings fun and funding to local hospitals at Halloween and all year round. With a mission to make hospitals less scary for kids and their families Spirit of Children supports the child life departments at partner hospitals in local communities.
Since 2007, Spirit of Children has raised $65 million to provide child life funding for art, music, aquatic and pet therapy programs as well as the purchase of educational items and toys used for distraction during medical procedures, and much more. 100 percent of every dollar donated supports the child life department in our 144 partner hospitals across the United States and Canada.
