Fraternal Order of Eagles Continued Support of Orlando Health

Recently, the Goldenrod Aerie (#3496) supported our efforts to improve the quality of care for patients with Alzheimer’s, cancer, diabetes, heart disease and spinal cord injuries.

Their $10,000 donation ensures that these patients have the equipment and supplies need to ensure their timely recovery and well-being.

The Fraternal Order of Eagles (FOE) is an international fraternal organization whose mission is to: Unite fraternally in the spirit of liberty, truth, justice and equality, to make human life more desirable by lessening its ills and by promoting peace, prosperity, gladness and hope.

Worldwide, there are more than 1,700 chapters or “aeries” within the FOE. Each aerie is dedicated to making the world a better place and to demonstrate that commitment, the FOE regularly raises philanthropic funds and donates more than $100 million annually.

Florida is home to 87 aeries. Together, the Florida Fraternal Order of Eagles have given almost $1 million to support the mission of Orlando Health since their first gift in 1994. In addition to support for Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies, FOE members have supported research in cancer, cardiovascular disease and other important areas of medical research.

“I have worked in healthcare for 35 years,” said past State Madam President Michelle Mullane. “We are truly blessed to have such a dedicated award-winning hospital system in Central Florida. Orlando Health’s commitment to leading edge technology in cardiovascular, Alzheimer’s disease, cancer, diabetes, trauma care and pediatrics is to be admired. The entire team at Orlando Health deserves all the support the community can give so we can continue receiving world-class care right here in Orlando.”
