Family Foundations Support Advancements at the Orlando Health Cancer Institute

Through their family foundation, the Albert M. Covelli Foundation, Gavin and Annette (Covelli) Ford have supported Orlando Health for over 26 years, making a significant impact within our community. From their support of our Level One Trauma Center at Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center to the Haley Center for Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, the Covellis are passionate about giving back.

Annette found her passion for philanthropy from her father, Albert Covelli, and carries on the family value. “I want to continue my father’s legacy of helping our communities. He really instilled in me the importance of being a good citizen and I love being able to do that in a variety of ways through the Orlando Health Foundation,” Annette shares.

Gavin and Annette’s commitment to patient care is felt deeply within the walls of our facilities. Their latest gift of $500,000 will expand our current 4-bed Bone Marrow Transplant unit at the Orlando Health Cancer Institute to include a new, state-of-the-art Cellular Therapy Lab for adults and children. This wonderful gift from the Covelli family is critically important for Orlando Health to meet the growing demand of our community so more patients can receive the crucial care they need.
