Expanding Our Capacity to Care

The Orlando Health Foundation recently hosted an event at the Country Club of Orlando to support the captial campaign expansion efforts of the Level One Trauma Center, located at Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC). The event was an opportunity to showcase the $25 million project and raise awareness for the expansion, which aims to increase the capacity and provide lifesaving care at Central Florida’s only Level One Trauma Center.

We extend heartfelt thanks to FFVA Mutual, who generously supported the event as the presenting sponsor.

The expansion of the Level One Trauma Center is critical in order to keep pace with the community’s growing needs. The overall enhancements to Orlando Health ORMC’s Emergency Department and Level One Trauma Center will:

  • increase surge capacity for mass casualty intakes,
  • provide new surgical suites and advanced technology in operating rooms,
  • expand space for trauma and resuscitation beds,
  • streamline the ambulance bay,
  • upgrade medical equipment such as CT machines,
  • improve and expand communication systems for the air care helicopter,
  • construct a clinical education center and
  • renovate the incident command center, including technology updates.
