Arnold Palmer Hospital Recognizes Walt Disney World Resort

Hospital renames atrium to honor Disney’s generosity and support.

Hospital leadership unveiled signage for the Walt Disney World Resort Grand Atrium at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. Arnold Palmer Hospital’s relationship with The Walt Disney Company dates back more than 26 years to the hospital’s opening.

Through the years, Disney has been a very supportive partner of the hospital, including a recent gift of $3 million in May 2014 to fulfill a critical need in the treatment of young patients at the hospital’s Bert Martin’s Champions for Children Emergency Department & Trauma Center.

“We’re very grateful to The Walt Disney Company for the amazing generosity they’ve shown us and the children and families of this community,” says David Strong, president and chief executive officer, Orlando Health. “Our patients have for many years enjoyed the bright, cheerful presence of Disney characters in our atrium and it’s truly an honor to showcase and recognize Walt Disney World for its commitment to the health of children and families.”
