Evening of Gratitude Showcases the Power of Philanthropy
On November 16, the Orlando Health Foundation hosted its signature Evening of Gratitude, a vibrant celebration recognizing the profound impact of philanthropy on the future of healthcare in Central Florida. Donors, supporters and community leaders gathered at the Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld for an unforgettable evening of inspiration, appreciation and community spirit.
The event spotlighted the tremendous success of the "Expanding Our Capacity to Care" capital campaign, which surpassed a significant milestone of $25 million. This achievement directly benefits the Level One Trauma Center and Emergency Department at Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC), ensuring enhanced critical care services for patients in their moments of greatest need.
A highlight of the evening was the introduction of the ambitious "Bringing Better Together" campaign, which aims to raise $160 million—the largest single fundraising effort in Orlando Health Foundation history. This transformative initiative is already under construction, displaying the importance of partnering with our community members so that the Orlando Health Children's Pavilion can provide a world-class space dedicated to caring for children and families in the region by 2026.
Guests enjoyed unique experiences throughout the evening, including interacting with Orlando Health Foundation’s first responders and exploring displays featuring ambulances and aircraft used in lifesaving missions. The night culminated in an exciting silent disco, where attendees danced the night away in celebration of the Foundation’s incredible progress.
