Recognizing Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in Central Florida

This September, our community and valued partners are recognizing Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. We do this not only to increase awareness of pediatric cancer, but to also raise funds for advanced research and treatments to help fight the disease.

According to the National Institute of Health, cancer is the leading cause of death by disease among children in the United States. Here in Central Florida, the Haley Center for Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children exists to support children and their families battling cancer in our community.

As the largest and most comprehensive pediatric hematology-oncology program in Central Florida, the Haley Center provides the highest level of care and support to children and families. Philanthropic support is valuable and needed and allows us to stay on the leading-edge of care by funding expanded research and advanced clinical trials. Without this support, we would not be able to grow our program and offer advanced treatment options to local kids.

Corporate Partners Celebrating Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

Throughout September, we encourage the community to join our local partners in supporting the Haley Center at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer through the following campaigns:

Fresh&co: Visit Fresh&co during the month of September and support the Haley Center by making a donation at the register.

Dunkin’: From September 14 – 28, guests to Dunkin’ will be able to donate $2 and receive a free Shine Gold Donut as a thank you for their contribution. Funds raised through the Shine Gold Donut Campaign support the Haley Center.

Participating Counties: Brevard, Flagler, Lake, Marion, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Sumter, and Volusia counties only

Shake Shack: For every shake purchased at Shake Shack from September 26 – 29, $1 will be donated to the Haley Center.
