I am a lifelong resident and was born at Orange Memorial Hospital.

HOW DID YOU FIRST ENCOUNTER Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies?
Although my children have never been treated at Arnold Palmer Hospital, they have been treated by several of the Orlando Health specialists. I also have quite a few friends who work at Winnie [Palmer Hospital] and Arnold [Palmer Hospital].

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO SUPPORT THE MISSION?
I was asked by Dr. Herrera-Soto to come to the Be the Difference breakfast and got to hear the stories of children and families who had been helped by the hospitals. It touched a soft spot in my heart. I know from firsthand experience (while waiting for a transplant) how tough times can be when you are dealing with a serious illness. I know the support you receive at the hospital from everyone involved is paramount.

Seeing all that is done to help both patients and families at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies made me want to jump on board. Knowing that not everyone has support when going through tough times and knowing the Foundation is there to help those who need it made me want to help.

Being around different doctors and members of the Foundation, plus taking the tour of the hospitals made it an easy decision to support Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies. You can “feel” the compassion and I want to be a part of that type of environment and giving.
