March With Us & Keep Funds Local
For the fourth consecutive year, Arnie’s March Against Children’s Cancer will take place as part of tournament week on Tuesday, March 15, at the Arnold Palmer Invitational Presented by MasterCard®.
Each year for the last three years, pediatric cancer patients, survivors and supporters have gathered at Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Club & Lodge for Arnie’s March Against Children’s Cancer. This annual event, part of the Arnold Palmer Invitational, raises critical funds to support cancer research through clinical trials at the Haley Center for Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children.
In the past three years, Arnie’s March has raised more than $350,000 for cancer research. Those funds stay in Central Florida to help children and families at Arnold Palmer Hospital. That is what makes this fundraising initiative unique – all of the funds stay local in an effort to directly impact those families battling this awful disease.
Donations for Arnie’s March are raised through sponsorship opportunities and online fundraising. Anyone can create a fundraising team at ArniesMarch.com and enlist family, friends and community members to support cancer research and clinical trials.
March with Us
Several people and organizations throughout Central Florida have already committed to raising money for this cause. From Orlando City Soccer to JetBlue, Coca-Cola and Aflac, our community understands the importance of keeping funds local and supporting cancer research at Arnold Palmer Hospital.
We asked team captains and organizations who are marching with us why they are taking the first step in the march against children’s cancer and here’s what a few of them had to say:
The first step of my march is because…
…I want every child to be able to play soccer!
…My daughter Heather – my hope is no other family will have to face this struggle!
…Children deserve to be children! They shouldn’t be fighting big battles.
…I love children and want them to have the best care here in our neighborhood.
