Celebrating Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

In honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness month, current and past patients celebrated with a party at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. Also, patients from the Haley Center for Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders were recognized at an Orlando City Soccer game and a touching story of two families shined a light on the importance of cancer research through clinical trials.

Throughout the month of September, Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children honored patients and their families in celebration of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. The month kicked off with a party at the hospital for past and current patients, their families, hospital team members and supporters of our efforts to continue fighting childhood cancer. At the event, we announced Coca-Cola as the presenting sponsor for this year's Arnie's March Against Children's Cancer.

On Saturday, September 17, Orlando City Soccer honored our patients during the opening ceremony of their game against the Columbus Crew. View pictures from the game here.

To further understand the importance of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and the need for continued research and clinical trials, please take a few minutes to watch the story of two families connected by childhood cancer at Arnold Palmer Hospital.
