Caring Classic Tees up Miracles For The Kids

It’s not every day that you see golf balls soar distances of 300 yards from the tee box.

In fact, few professional golfers could achieve that with one drive. But during this year’s Marriott Vacations Worldwide Caring Classic in April, nearly every golfer at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, Orlando, Grande Lakes did just that. Although it wasn’t without a little help from an air canon.  Participants could chose to opt for the air cannon over their golf clubs in exchange for a donation, all to raise funds for Children’s Miracle Network at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer.

As a national partner of CMN Hospitals, Marriott Vacations Worldwide has hosted the Caring Classic for 21 years, raising more than $2.7 million in that time. The tournament, which sold out in weeks, provided an exceptional on-course experience including food trucks, a chipping challenge, lavish celebration luncheon and much more. Partners, sponsors and supporters came from all over the country to participate this year, all for pediatric and neonatal programs at Orlando Health.
