In October of last year the Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies launched a new initiative called Make a Difference. With the help of more than 70 ambassadors and volunteers, 827 people were able to tour Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies and see firsthand how impactful and important the work is to the Central Florida community. 

How did we do this? The Foundation created an hour-long mission-based tour called See the Difference. Our ambassadors brought guests to more than 100 tours conducted between November 2014 and October 2015. Guests left the tours inspired, wanting to give back, and even made plans for future medical decisions, such as to have their baby at Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies and list Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children on their emergency card. 

Many of those who also toured attended the Be the Difference breakfast on October 15. We welcomed more than 400 supporters, including David Strong, Kathy Swanson, John Bozard and other leaders from administration, as well as many physicians who serve at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies. Guests enjoyed hearing more about the mission of , shared firsthand by grateful patients and their families. 

The generosity of patients, families, staff and others engaged in our mission was overwhelming. We continue to hear stories from guests about the impact and impression they left with of Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies. Thank you to everyone who attended, those who played a role in making the event a great success and those who continue to support the hospitals.
