(Answers provided by Pam Foels)

HOW LONG HAVE YOU LIVED IN CENTRAL FLORIDA?
We have lived here since 1989, when I graduated from UF Law and moved here to start my practice.

HOW DID YOU FIRST ENCOUNTER THE HOWARD PHILLIPS CENTER?
I first encountered The Howard Phillips Center through my work as a guardian ad litem (GAL). More specifically, some of the children I have represented have been the victims of physical and sexual abuse and the Center was involved in their evaluation and care.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO SUPPORT THE MISSION?
We became motivated to give when I became a board member, and we were able to see more directly and more concretely how the Center is impacting not only kids like my own GAL kids but also the reach it has in the community.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO YOU TO SUPPORT A PLACE LIKE THE HOWARD PHILLIPS CENTER?
As parents of four children, we are acutely aware of the needs that are not being met of hundreds, if not thousands, of kids in our own backyard. I think it is easy to think of those types of problems being prevalent “somewhere else,” but not here in our own community. The role that the Center has been able to play in meeting some of the needs in the community hits very close to home for us. Quite simply, we consider it an honor and privilege to be affiliated with such an outstanding place!
